Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Scott, M. K. (illustrator). First Edition Later Printing. Another in this popular mid-twentieth-century children's series, each written & illustrated by different authors/artists. This one is about our feathered friends, in 93 pages with Index, with decorative endpapers & internal drawings by M. K. Scott. A FIRST EDITION, 16th printing, from 1950, this hardcover 8vo (7.25" x 8.75") has light gray-tan cloth-covered boards stamped to front with black images of primitive tools & lettering, black lettering to spine. NO DJ on this copy (please see our listing #023592 for one with a DJ). Condition is VG: very clean, pages creamy white & unmarked save for former owner's name & address to title page in blue pen & a few faint crayon marks to ffep. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
