xi+64+(1, author list), inscr. top fr.pastedown to 'Mrs L (/). T. La [illeg. but looks like 'ntrill'', sm. early engr. ex-lib.plate below this of 'Henrici Aston Walker'; verso fr. end-paper browned, some spots of foxing through to p.iv, and recurring from final leaf of text, rear gutter cracked from just below centre upwards, fr.g utter cracked through most of length but tight. Brown cloth beveled edge covers generally clean and bright but sp.-ends chipped, corners v. sl. rubbed. What adds interest to this copy is that verso author list and recto rear blank fly have neat added, a non-alphabetical, glossary of the 'Breckland' dialect (actually extending to 2 entries verso fly), these noted as 'In Breckland Wilds: W.G.Clarke', this was published 1925 so was clearly added by a later owner (perhaps indeed Henrici Aston Walker, whose Latinisation of his first name and pride in being an Oxford M.A. is evident from his plate).
