Publisher s original dark brown cloth lettered in gilt on the spine, ornately blind-stamped and with a gilt motif of an invertebrate fossil emblazoned on the front cover, and a gilt fossil on the spine, original clay-coated yellow endpapers, 4to. No ownership marks and no signs of use. The text is bright and clean, a near-fine copy.
