No dust jackets on any of the volumes; boards are clean, spines of Vols i-iii are sunned, spine of Vols vii and ix slightly ridged, corners minimally worn and bumped, titling bright; binding is tight; pages are unmarked, off-setting in preface of Vol i from newspaper clipping, otherwise all clean. Vols viii and ix are supplementary volumes published in 1978. ; 6.25 x 9.5 inches.

Store description
Established in 1979 with a medium size stock, shop is in North London less than half an hour from West End. We are open Thursdays to Sundays 10,30. to 6.30, but telephone and computer usually manned daily. Named after Thoreau's book, not connected with the American book chain. We do feel that actually being able to see the books one is browsing is what bookselling or buying is all about and all of the the books offered are from our shop stock and may be viewed during shop hours or by arrangement when closed. We also stand at occasional book fairs. Please note only a small amount of our stock is on the website, we have over 10,000 titles in our shop, please let us know if you need any other books.
