Light browning, markings to e.ps. due to label removal etc., first few leaves of vol. 3 sl. creased, bound in red remainder cloth, light fading and wear, faint signs of label removal from tails of spines. With photocopied bookplates to preliminaries of volume 1 and 3 of the Royal Institution of South Wales stating From the Collection of the Late Lt-Col. George Garnt Francis .Theophilus Jones (1759-1812). The above still continues to be the standard work on the county; comprehensive and scholarly, despite some bias, it is the most noteworthy of the Welsh county histories.With 3pp. of Subscribers including John Lloyd, Rt.
