6th edition with the author's final revisions. Tipped in is a 'ticket' ' Westminster Abbey Admit (in hand) the Bearer and party to my Pew .3 o'clock on Thursday Dec 30 1886 Signed R Duckworth. Duckworth was the canon of westminster, and friend of Lewis Carroll and helped row the Lidell sisters on the Thames at Oxford. The book is smartly bound in leather with titles in gilt to spine. the book was later used as a King's College prize with a prize plate to front pastedown and the College emblem in gilt slightly mis-stamped to front board.
