1904. No edition stated. 274 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with black decorations to both boards and gilt lettering to spine. Black and white illustrations throughout and one colour map. Pages remain bright and clear with minor tanning and foxing. Few pages with noticeable dog-eared corners. Small stain to top text-block edge. Illustrations are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Notable foxing and light pencil marking to pastdowns and endpapers with visible creasing to rear free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with visible bumping and staining to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Spine slightly tanned with minor stains.
