I stained at head and tail; uniformly bound in half navy calf over marbled paper boards by Potter & Sons, York, spines lettered in gilt, contrasting red and brown lettering pieces, marbled edges, occasional marks and abrasions, else a very good set. Thomas Arnold's celebrated History of Rome, together with the posthumously published History of the Later Roman Commonwealth.
