[Poetry] FIRST THUS. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.xxiv; 488. Engraved section head and tail pieces. Publisher's decorative bevelled blue cloth, titles and ornamentation stamped in gilt and black to upper board and spine. The same designs in blind to lower. All edges gilt. Brown endpapers. Some gentle, occasional spotting throughout, mostly to preliminaries and rear few leaves. Some sunning to spine, light rubbing to joints and upper lettering. Mild shelfwear. Very good. A superb anthology of poets English, American, and unknown. Compiled by the sibling of the famed Dante and Christina Rossetti, a brilliant critic and pre-Raphaelite figure in his own right.
