Extremities a little worn and scattered foxing throughout, the plates, however being in a clean condition; otherwise a very good copy. Bookplate. Illustrated by ii engraved plates, 9 of which are hand coloured. A study of the various families of molluscs, with a glossary of Latin terms, by Samuel Brookes, FLS (d.1838). It examines the taxonomic arrangements of the genera, by both Linnaeus and Lamarck (1744-1819, the great French naturalist and taxonomist, who made a study of invertebrate classification, including shells.
