This four-volume set describes all mosses found in Fennoscandia. It has been thirty years since the first fascicle of the Illustrated Moss Flora of Fennoscandia was printed. During this time several species have been added to the Fennoscandian flora. Few species have been reduced to varieties, but several varieties have been raised to species. Iceland, Jan Mayen and Svalbard (Bear Island + Spitzbergen) have now been included and many species from those areas, not known from other parts of Fennoscandia, are now treated.
