Thirteenth Edition. Softcover octavo, pp. x, 181, [1], xxxiv, [18] adverts. Frontispiece, 23 monochrome plates and numerous illustrations throughout. Original printed grey card wraps. Minor loss to spine tips, lower corner and single (approx. 4 cm) nick to lower spine. Price has been obscured with black ink to upper wrap. Overall a bright, tight copy in Very Good condition. Scarce Thirteenth Edition in original card wraps, first issued as "A Brief Sketch of Durham", before becoming the standard guide book for the area. With Appendix and copious local adverts to recto.
