A fairly modern, but undated, reprint of the booklet first published December 1953 (which had been reprinted May 1978) by the then Cranbrook & Sissinghurst Local History Society which is now, two name changes later, the Cranbrook Museum and Local History Society. Written by the well-known local historian, C C R Pile. An historical survey of Cranbrook and Sissinghurst from the angle of its very many public houses. New.
