118pp. with illustrations and a fold-out table, maroon cloth covers with gilt titles. Contents in good order with a little wear and foxing to most pages and the front end paper missing. Title page browned. One engraving is loose from the binding. Binding is reasonably good with some movement. The covers are good overall with some wear and staining / mottling front and back. Spine covering tatty at the top and base. This book instructs general readers on the use of meteorological instruments such as barometers, thermometers and rain gauges. It also provides information on more general meteorological phenomena such as clouds, wind, evaporation and ozone.
