Original leather or faux leather hardback with spine and endpapers renewed. Firm and square, strong joints, showing well. Contents age toned and foxed; otherwise clean and tight with no pen-marks and not from a library so no such stamps or labels. Size: 185mm x 120mm; collation: pp. vi, [ii], 86, complete with errata page at the rear, and two fold-out plates with an accompanying page of explanation. Both plates are browned and show a few minor splits along the folds which have since been sealed. In addition, there are numerous figures and illustrations within they text. Note: this is the Second Edition. As such it is much enlarged compared to the first 1827 edition. Thus a scarce book in very good condition.
