Scholarly survey of 18th-century panelling based on then Rothschild collection at Waddesdon Manor. 385 individual panels are catalogued, illustrated, given location and provenance and commentary on their stylistic and historic values. The carvers and gilders who created the panelling are also recorded. Many previously unpublished plans, drawings and photographs of the panelling in the collection are included. Text in English.
