[Maritime History] FIRST THUS. Octavo (26 x 18cm), pp.129 [3]. With six colour plates and multiple in-text line illustrations, including half-title and title-page vignettes. Publisher's light brown cloth, centre purple cloth panel with gilt titles and decoration. Gilt titles also to spine. Top edge gilt, the others untrimmed. Lightly tone but clean. Gentle toning to cloth, mostly spine. Mild edgewear. With a facsimile of the original title page and the first appearance of the Brangwyn illustrations.
