This work was dedicated to the artistic study of trees, taking the reader through the how to illustrate the various elements and on to complete compositions. Harriet Isabel Adam nee Baker (1863-1952) was a British artist, scientific illustrator, and author. She attended the Birmingham School of Art and trained as an artist before moving to illustration and specializing in the Arts and Crafts style. She is most known for her botanical drawings, bookplates, and published two volume set, Wild Flowers of the British Isles .
