8vo, 6 vols: (Vol. I, 1899-1900) 461 p., 9 pls and ill. ; (Vol. II, 1901) 448 p., 4 plates and ill.; (Vol. III, 1902): 452 p., with pls and ill.; (Vol. IV, 1903): 452 p., with pls and ill.; (Vol. V, 1904): 448 p., with pls and ill. ; (Vol. VI, 1905): 456 p., with pls and ill. All plates with tissue guards. Each volume with original printed paper wrappers of the yearly single issues and corresponding publisher's catalogues bound at end. Woodcut initials. Hand-cut gatherings with deckled edges, some leaves still uncut. Printed on thick fine paper. Bound in coated cloth over boards, gilt labels to spines. A fine set edited by Macalister in collaboration with Léopold Delisle, Carl Dziatzko, Richard Garnett, Melvil Dewey and Konrad Burger.
