[Literary Biography] Pp.134; 146. Magazine format in pictorial paper wraps, with photographs throughout. Original price: 35c. each. With the memorable fold-out cover photograph of Ian Fleming at the wheel of Bond's supercharged 4.5 litre 'Blower' Bentley. Fragile magazines with some expected handling and light wear, faint dampstain to covers. Complete sets are scarce. An informative first-hand biography of James Bond's creator, written by a close friend and colleague working alongside the author both in wartime intelligence work and as Fleming's assistant at the Foreign Desk of The Sunday Times. This is a pre book-form serialisation in two magazine appearances: as 'Alias James Bond The Real Story of Ian Fleming' and 'James Bond is Born' [in: Life Magazine, vol. 61, nos. 15-16, 7 & 14 October 1966].
