Book is nice and square. Top edge is a faint gold. Very minor rubbing on spine edges and some corners. Handwritten gift inscription on the first blank page dated 1899. Book is tan color with gold lettering on the spine and simple black design that wraps from front cover to rear. Frontispiece and tissue guard are foxed. No other foxing in book or endpapers. No odor.
