Fine nineteenth century bindings by Zaehnsdorf of full dark brown morocco with raised bands, gilt decoration, inner dentelles gilt, silk endpapers, all edges gilt. Highly professional, almost invisible repairs to spines with backstrips relaid, retaining the endpapers.Spines and front cover of second volume faintly faded. Some spotting to frontispiece. Faded ownership signature, dated 1846, on title-page. Near fine set.
