As senior vice-president of scientific affairs of the American Heart Association, Rodman D. Starke, M.D., directs all science activities of the American Heart Association. A graduate of the Harvard Medical School, he was for twenty-six years chief of cardiology at Davies Medical Center. Mary Winston, Ed.D., R.D., is senior science consultant of the American Heart Association at their national headquarters in Dallas. She is also a co-author of the best-selling, award-winning American Heart Association Low-Fat, Low-Cholesterol Cookbook and The American Heart Association Cookbook.
