Uncoloured copper-engraved map (engraved area 15 x 17 inches) with good margins. Scale 1.25 inches to one mile. A very good copy. This sheet shows the whole of the Island of Thanet from Sandwich Bay to Reculver with the fledgling towns of Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Minster as well as the numerous villages, farms and hamlets. Founded by Patrick Marrin's father George in 1946, Marrin's Bookshop has been based in its current Folkestone location since 1963. Patrick has worked in bookselling since 1970. As well as rare antiquarian books, maps and prints, the stock includes a wide range of literature, library sets, travel, history and illustrated books in all fields.
