Edges foxed and some occasional foxing elsewhere; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 218 black and white text figures. A study of Milton's influence over painting and graphic art. It seeks to provide a comprehensive and detailed historical survey of English illustrations to Milton from 1688 to 1860, including a chapter on William Blake and Milton.
