Oxnard spent childhood summers in Blue Hill, Maine and holds an MFA in fiction writing from New York University. Her writing has appeared in Women Outside, Hooked on the Outdoors, MaineBiz and Canoe & Kayak, among many other publications. She lives in Portland, Maine.
