Jean Louis Armand de Quatrefages de Bréau (1810 – 1892) was a French physician, anthropologist and zoologist. He was highly critical of the theories of Charles Darwin, but he was not anti-evolution. His views were almost diametrically opposed to those of Darwin, they exchanged many strong letters but remained on friendly terms.
