'A rare book, considered to be the best treatise on fox-hunting extant.'- Schwerdt. pp. [1-3],4-24. Small light outer-margin stain affecting title & three further leaves. Publisher's full red morocco with panelled boards with fox-head motifs, marbled endpapers, gilt, aeg, by Hayday, as issued. Small & neat upper-joint hinge repairs front & back, said hinges a little rubbed, but quite sound, rear board upper corner slighty worn. Engraved armorial bookplate of Douglas Peter Crossman. Vg.
