Quarto; 310,[i]. Large Paper edition. Fine contemporary binding by Winstanley of Manchester of full crimson morocco, raised bands and lettering direct to the plain spine, gilt inner dentelles. Signed presentation copy from the author to Mr & Mrs W.G.Hall. VG copy indeed. *** Charles Swain (1801-1874) was a Manchester-born poet and engraver, friend of Southey, to whom this work is dedicated, First published in 1832, this work appeared in a handful of editions in the next decade or so. However, this large paper quarto edition is notlocated either on Library Hub or OCLC and appears to be unrecorded.
