Instead of being numbered this is a "contributor's copy" - for Lesley/Hellmuth Weissenborn. Large Quarto. 10.5" x 14" approx. [viii], 125pp. With wood engravings and other illustrations in sepia throughout by Eric Gill, Robert Gibbings, Edward Ardizzone, Miriam Macgregor, etc. Introduction by John Randle. Twenty-one sections explaining the origins and design of popular types - presented for the general reader as well as for the printer. Bound in publisher's quarter buckram, printed paper sides, gilt title to spine. Binding secure. Clean and bright. Housed in the card slipcase, some minor markings and shelf-wear.
