With, the Progress report of the Exploration Committee of the Royal Society of Victoria for 1861, small folio, pp. 8 and printed envelope for posting. Burke and Wills relief expedition, the second volume being largely devoted to the journals of William Landsborough and Frederick Walker. The Royal Society's Report contains the Exploration Committee's apologia for their conduct of the expedition, for which they were severely censured by the Royal Commission appointed to enquire into the causes of its disastrous conclusion.
