Both volumes are illustrated with an engraved frontispiece plate, an added engraved title page dated 1828, together with several full-page wood engraved plates throughout the text. Contemporary dark blue morocco, gilt decorated spines. Small owner's name in ink dated 1853 on front free endpaper of Vol. 1 and on frontispiece plate (black recto) of Vol. 2. Spanish bookseller's ticket on rear pastedowns. Boards are rubbed, tail of spines are bumped, minor foxing, an attractive, very good set.
