Worm holes along front gutter. Previous owner s names scattered throughout in old hand. Text block is toned and somewhat soiled. Binding quite fragile. Remains a readable copy despite aesthetic flaws. Please see photos. Printed by Daniel Lawrence in Duchess County, New York. He received a brief mention in Douglas McMurtie s History of Printing. Particularly interesting is the press of Stanford, a Quaker community in Duchess County, where Daniel Lawrence began to print in 1802. In this year, he printed the American Spelling-Book by Asa Rhodes. .
