FIRST (ONLY) EDITION, outer leaves a little browned and with offsetting from the turn-ins, pp. [xii], 192, 12mo, contemporary tree calf, gilt roll tooled borders on sides, spine gilt in compartments, cracks in joints but cords holding, lacking lettering piece, slightly worn, ownership inscription on fly-leaf of Charles Townshend May 24, 1758 [for 1785, presumably]. A rare arithmetic with but 3 copies recorded in ESTC, BL, Cambridge, and National Trust. John Davison was master of a Writing and Mathematical Academy, in Exeter-Court, Strand, London. He had contribued the mathematical part to The New complete Dictionary of Arts and Sciences, edited by Erasmus Middleton, 1778. (ESTC T110078). Seller Inventory # 62186
