Jacket has a few chips and tears around edges, moreso at the top; spine is slightly tanned, but overall in very good condition. Inscription of previous ownership to FFEP. The Notebook of Malte Laurids Brigge is generally accepted as Rilke's most important prose work. It is a work of autobiographical fiction, based on his experiences as an impoverished Danish poet in Paris. This is a 1950 reprint of the first edition of this translation by John Linton. 16mo.
