Photogravure frontispiece and 7 plates with tissue guards, mounted half-tone illustrations within text. Printed on handmade paper. Original quarter vellum, spine lettered in gilt, red buckram sides ruled in gilt, device in gilt to front cover, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Bookseller's ticket of L. Tozer, Somerset, to front pastedown. Cloth rubbed and lightly sunned, a little lifting to sides of cloth, small wear to corners, foxing to outer leaves, light offsetting from some illustrations, contents bright overall. A very good copy.
