Light foxing largely confined to edges, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 8 black and white plates. Title page decorated by borders. The second of the author's volumes of bibliographical essays on the literature of agriculture, husbandry and farming from the 1730s to the early 1790s. It focuses on the major writers, including Jethro Tull, William Ellis and later Arthur Young and William Marshall, also examining the writings of the 'minor prophets,' who came in between.
