Original vintage London Transport poster for Burnham Beeches by Motor Bus featuring great artwork by the notable British artist Walter E. Spradbery (1889-1969) of an iconic red London bus driving towards the viewer along a road lined with autumn coloured trees in the woods on both sides, the General roundel logo and bold lettering in the border below with a quote from the 1878 The Marshes Of Glynn poem by the American poet Sidney Lanier (1842-1881): "- - - the green colonnades Of the dim sweet woods, of the dear dark woods." Located in Buckinghamshire in South East England on the Greater London border, the wildlife nature reserve at Burnham Beeches is named after its abundance of beech trees with ancient historical sites dating back to the Bronze Age and Iron Age, situated by Farnham Common in the village of Burnham.
