Original vintage London Transport poster for Kenwood House by the British artist Robert Flavell Micklewright (1923-2013) featuring a painting of the historical 17th century stately home (now managed by English Heritage since 1986) behind a grassy slope and a large tree under the blue sky with the London Underground roundel logo and text below - Kenwood House stands high on the northernmost ridge of Hampstead Heath. Owned and administered by the Greater London Council, this is London's very own country mansion. Its treasures are endless - a Rembrandt self-portrait, Vermeer's precious Guitar Player, Guardis, Constables, Romneys, Gainsboroughs, a wealth of antique furniture, and that masterpiece of Robert Adam's decorative genius, the Library.
