Original vintage World War Two propaganda poster designed by the notable design team Lewitt-Him (1933-1955); Jan Le Witt (1907-1991) and George Him (1900-1981) entitled - MG Overgangsgezag / MG Transitional Authority - promoting the temporary military authority Militair Gezag (1944-1946) established to manage the administration of liberated Netherlands during its transition from German Nazi occupation. Dynamic design shows the letters MG in red and green in a stylised font at a slant as though lying flat with the darker red portion on the M depicting a war zone with planes flying overhead, barbed wire and military weapons and, on the brighter green portion of the M and G, lush fields and windmills are shown. The text below details the role of the Militair Gezag next to colourful letters curved upwards reading Nederland Zal Herrijzen / The Netherlands Will Rise Again. Horizontal.
