Folio broadside (287 x 170mm); unbound. First and only edition. A 24-line poem condemning the Union: UNITE! And on such Terms We must at once, Our INDEPENDENCY, and Our KING Renounce. Part with Our Money, and Our Ancient Rights, Turn Traytors, and be Worse than Gibeonites! This piece of doggerel is rather crudely printed on paper of mediocre quality. Not surprisingly, it is very rare: ESTC lists five copies, all but one of them in Edinburgh. Foxon P687; McLeod, Anglo-Scottish Tracts: 1701-1714, 298. Provenance: from the celebrated collection of the 17th Earl of Perth (d. 2002), whose library was sold at auction in November 2003.
