All edges speckled red. viii, [2] 284pp., illustrated with 43 copper engraved plates, all folding, 8 within the text and 35 bound at the end. Engraved armorial bookplate of Penry Williams to front pastedown. Modern bookplate to rear pastedown. Old ink diagrams hand drawn to blank at end. Outer edge of Plate V with small closed tear and light soiling. Occasional light foxing throughout, slightly heavier to prelims. Light wear and scuffing to edges and light soiling to boards.
