About this Item

Description:

FIRST EDITION, pp. 192, crown 8vo, original terracotta cloth with publisher device in blind to lower board, backstrip lettered in gilt, top edge very faintly spotted, the dustjacket a little darkened to backstrip panel with some chipping at ends, tiny patch of paper adhesion to lower joint-fold, some chipping and nicking at corners, very good. A nice copy of this persuasive tirade against poetic gamekeeping. A unity of thought and praxis can be observed in their refusal to appear in Yeats' 'Oxford Book of Modern Verse'. (Wexler A7a; Higginson & Williams A29a). Seller Inventory # 69801
