[Christianity] FINELY BOUND AND ILLUSTRATED. Octavo (23 x 15cm), pp.xvi; 282. With 270 engravings including a frontispiece. Contemporary dark blue half calf, marbled paper over boards. Gilt titles and tooling to spine. Brown endpapers. Moderately toned, marked and spotted throughout, heaviest to preliminaries. Two ownership inscriptions in black ink to front and back of flyleaf. Hinges starting, some tearing to front flyleaf. Small bookseller's label to top of pastedown. Rubbing and age to boards and joints, a spot of erosion to upper. General shelfwear. Good. The Christian allegorical classic - framed entirely as a prophetic dream sequence, first published in 1678.
