First edition thus. 8vo. viii, 1325, (1) pp. Publisher's purple cloth, gilt lettered to the spine, dust jacket, an old lightly pencilled list of page numbers to the front free endpaper which largely corresponds with pages that feature small marginal linings or ticks - again in light pencil, tipped in errata slip at p. 1. Frontispiece portrait. Tanning to the jacket spine, a little edge wear with short closed tear to the head of the upper panel, browning to the endpapers plus spotting to the edges of the text block, an attractive copy.
