Item description from seller

First edition. Format, oblong 127mm x 188mm. Physical description, 101 pages including a half title. Illustrations [36], 14 coloured and 22 black and white. The contents are slightly shaken and occasionally very lightly pulled, and are generally clean. Cloth backed boards, rubbed, the upper cover retaining the original illustrated colour printed onlay with the title and author. The backstrip with the title in dark brown lettering. Overall, an acceptable near very good copy. Porridge Poetry (1924) is the only non-Dolittle work by Lofting still in print. This is a vibrantly coloured illustrated book of short lighthearted poems for children by the Anglo-American writer Hugh Lofting (1896-1947) who also wrote the equally charming Doctor Doolittle for children.
