Near contemporary green half morocco over matching cloth sides, spine with wide raised bands, gilt lettered direct to two panels and with small gilt embossed circles to the sides, later owner's inscription to the front free endpaper. Three frontispieces, those in volumes II and III transposed from their normal positions. Slight wear to the boards, very good overall. Wise, 258. Issued in parts so although the title page of volume III is dated 1888, the final two chapters actually appeared in 1889. Seller Inventory # 42540
