[Drawing] EARLY DUST-JACKET, Sixth Impression, a later issue. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.[6] 250. With frequent in-text illustrations and diagrams by the author. Publisher's brown quarter cloth, with gilt titles to spine and grey paper over boards, titled in brown to upper. With the plain dust-jacket, not priced. Scribners Sons imprint overlaid with labels of Charles S. Pratt, to both jacket and title page. His label also to front pastedown. Ownership labels of Mrs. Edward Douglas Papkee to front flap and front pastedown. Toning to edges and endpapers. Gilt to spine dulled. Jacket chipped to edges, especially corners, with heavier toning and some marks to spine, as well as a large 3cm loss to the head, split along some folds with neat repairs with archive tape to reverse. A nice example of an early dust-jacket. Very good.
