Just Preach: Proclaiming the Word of God Progressive Baptist Style is a collection of sermons from pastors around the country within this historic Baptist Convention affectionately referred to as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Convention of choice. It consists of sermons from the likes of Marvin McMickles, Johnny Ray Youngblood, Raphael Warnock, James Perkins, Gina Stewart, Jacqueline Thompson, Anthony Chandler, Charlie Waters, and Charles Booth.

This book provides many insights and possible resolutions to the pertinent issues that are facing the African American community. It is a must read for anyone seeking informative ways to help assist with the uplifting of African Americans.

The Reverend Darryl Sims is the proud father of three daughters, Darnisha Sims, Latecia Sims–Mix, and Riele Sims. He is the editor of numerous books of sermons by prominent Black ministers. Sound the Trumpet: Messages to Empower African American Males, (Judson Press, 2003) and its sequel, Sound the Trumpet, Again (2005). Along with These Sisters Can Say It (MMGI Books, 2009. 2014), The Burden Bearer (MMGI Books, 2011) and Evangelizing and Empowering the Black Male, (2013). He has authored Adam Come Home: Liberating the Minds of Black Men (MMGI Books, 2013). Reverend Sims has become nationally recognized as a conduit for providing spiritual and social renewal for Black men. He has provided workshops around the country to empower and heal Black men. He has also worked with a variety of schools and organizations in the areas of conflict resolution, academic achievement, and enhancement of racial pride.
