Errata slip; ATLAS - pp. (xvi) Plates. 70 lithographed plates as called for [some double-page, many bis plates, no.XXVI is not listed and thus not included]. In contemporary half calf and marbled boards, occasional heavy spotting of the plates and a small dent in the lower corner of the last few, but overall a very good set. *Originally issued in parts starting in 1832, with the plates included with the relevant sections of text. This set has the appearance of having been bound from the parts, the plates being then separately bound into an extra volume. All title-pages dated for 1836. See also GARRISON-MORTON #6273 - Davis was the first to state that phlegmasia alba dolens was due to inflammation of the veins. He was physician-accoucheur at the birth of Queen Victoria.
